This was the case with the CHICPLACE CHRISTMAS MARKET, which filled Casa Capell with originality, colour and treats to suit every taste on 29 and 30 November! ChicPlace.com is a website featuring all of Europe’s unique gift shops. Its aim is to bring originality and good taste to every corner of the world through its online platform, which retains “the essence of that hidden shop in the narrow street of that charming neighbourhood,” according to those behind the project. To create this space, a carefully curated selection was made of both the shops and the products they sell. It is a way of supporting those who are championing handmade products during these times of crisis and helping them turn their businesses into international ventures: “Joining ChicPlace.com has been a resounding success. In just one week, we received hundreds of orders and our brand is becoming known throughout Spain,” says Marta Ezquerro, owner of Living Store, one of the shops that form part of ChicPlace. The shops themselves are responsible for preparing the gift packages that arrive at the buyer’s home, so that the charm they each promote is not lost. Now, thanks to this market held in Barcelona, consumers had two days to see the handcrafted products in person, many of them customisable and vintage-style.
